Helping Businesses Recover Historic Overplayments

Our historical rates audit (which can look back as far as 1996), focusses on historical liabilities, and billing errors that are often outside the scope of standard rating reviews. This applies to all types of organisations from SMEs with one property to investors and large corporates with extensive portfolios, including industrial, logistics, offices, and leisure property, across the length and breadth of the UK.

Explore overpayments and recover what’s owed to you.

Business rates are complicated and unfortunately mistakes are common.

Our audit team work independently and directly with the local Billing Authority, with no conflict to the Appeal process in Rateable Value for which many of our audit Clients may have a retained agent.

Historic audit
We carry out a detailed analysis of past bills to uncover any irregularities and overpayments.
Error detection
We investigate any incorrect billing, misapplied reliefs and valuation inaccuracies across your business rates valuations.

Rebate recovery
We pursue claims to their conclusion on a No Win No Fee basis with no financial risk to the ratepayer.
Expert case management
Our expert team takes full ownership of your claim, managing the process from start to finish. If historic errors have led to overpayment, we will manage the case to secure the refunds you are entitled to.

How long will it take?
The process generally takes 2-3 weeks from receiving the instruction to the money being received (this is dependent upon the council’s response). The money will be paid directly into your account. We do not expect payment of our fee until this money is received by you, if you do not receive a refund, you owe us Nothing (there are no Hidden Fees).
