After a measured inspection, a Check was submitted disputing the areas, and to reduce the adopted rate per sq m, due to excessive tone, and consequential action required.
Our Check was upheld with the Valuation Office in agreement to our revised areas, and reduction in rate per sq m from £125.00 per m/2 to £85.00/m2.
The Rateable Value was reduced from £18,750 to £11,250.
We applied for Small Business Relief

The total Business Rates Liability was reduced to £0, as under the £12,000 Rateable Value threshold. Savings over the 4 year Rating List equate to £36,487.

After a measured inspection, a Check was submitted disputing the areas.
This led to an initial reduction from £35,750 to £34,000 effective from 1st April 2017.
After analysing rents within the subject building and wider area, we submitted a Challenge to reduce the adopted rate per sq m. Our Challenge was upheld and Rateable Value further reduced from £34,000 to £21,750.

Carried out a full site survey early Feb and made appeal to the VOA on 8th Feb 2017

We confirmed the measured floor areas, but made an appeal on the rate being applied for this shop, in this location.

Our appeal was upheld, and the RV reduced to £11,750 pa

We also managed to secure and extra £5378 in backdated savings
